Our Young Musician Development Programme
Programme Overview
The Little Strummers Young Musicians Development Programme is a structured instrument discovery journey for students who want to explore music before choosing one instrument to specialise in.
For Ages 8 +
Students will learn the fundamentals of:
🎹 Piano • 🎸 Guitar • 🥁 Drums • 🎤 Vocals
Each instrument is taught in one-on-one sessions with a specialist teacher, giving students focused guidance and steady progress. After exploring each instrument, students will come together toward the end of the programme to rehearse and prepare for a band performance.
By the end of the journey, both teacher and student will identify the instrument the student is most excited to pursue next.

Sarah Devaratnam is a passionate and highly experienced educator with over a decade of working with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum and with developmental needs. With a strong background in Behaviour Management, Child Psychology, and an Advanced Diploma in Special Education, she brings a thoughtful, individualised approach to every lesson.
But what truly sets Sarah apart is her ability to blend early intervention strategies with the joy of music.
Through 1-on-1 piano lessons and structured music-based activities, she helps children grow in focus, coordination, communication, and emotional regulation, all while having fun.
